Day 7, Pastels, The Flock

30 in 30 hosted by Leslie Saeta.

 Day 7
The Flock
7" x 10.75"

Two years ago my feeders were visited by a flock of
cardinals consisting of 12 males and 12 females.

It was beautiful - I couldn't believe it! I took pictures with plans to paint them and also, I didn't think anyone would believe me. It turns out that they were more difficult to photograph than I thought and quite honestly the feeders weren't all that attractive. Anyway this is what I came up with . It was first time doing snow in pastels.

  1. I love these ink drawings. We were in Florence in May for our 25th and this looks like the view from the hill at San Michelangelo - gorgeous!
